By accessing the Data-Informed Media Analysis Suite (DIMAS), you agree to use our AI-powered tools responsibly and in accordance with these terms. This suite is a Research and Innovation (R&I) project intended to foster a more informed and critical media landscape.
DIMAS provides a suite of tools for medial literacy and human involved analysis. These tools use AI methods such as Vision-Language Models and Large Language Models (LLMs) to help users identify sentiment trends and potential misrepresentations in media content.
Users are expected to engage with the platform for legitimate media analysis purposes. You must not attempt to misuse the tools or bypass the safety mechanisms integrated into our AI models.
While DIMAS employs feature such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to ground AI responses in verified news articles, users must acknowledge that AI systems can occasionally produce hallucinations. The suite is provided as a tool for critical assessment and should not be the sole basis for factual verification.
The DIMAS platform and its underlying research are the property of the University of Malta. Any profits generated from knowledge transfer activities are reinvested into the University's primary research activities.
Our tools, such as the sports chatbot, retrieve and analyse content from external media organisations like the Times of Malta. DIMAS does not claim ownership of this third-party news content and provides direct citations to original sources for transparency.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the suite for users who violate ethical usage guidelines or engage in activities that jeopardise the integrity of the project.
